A residential system is a satellite system for your home. With either DISH Network or DirecTV programming you can get up to four televisions connected to satellite for FREE (new customers only). The only items needed to build your account are a credit card and Social Security number. There are many receiver options:   RESIDENTIAL
The
basic receiver is simply used to watch television.

The
DVR (not pictured) which is built into the receiver, allows you to record,
pause live television, go back and re-watch a scene.
The
HD/DVR (high defintion, digital video recorder) allows you to record
in standard as well as high definition, pause live televison, go back,
and re-watch a scene.
Several
programming packages are available for your television viewing preferences.
There are movie packages - HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and Starz. Satellite
also offers many international programming packages, as well as your
local channels.

The
HD receiver allows you to watch the high definition programming, as
well as the standard definition programming.
